Instantly Mailboxes Review 2026

This review is based on publicly available information as of the publication date, including the Instantly website, the Instantly help center (in particular the DFY service article), and a sample of public discussion on Trustpilot and third-party comparison blogs. We did not independently run inbox placement tests on Instantly DFY or pre-warmed mailboxes, did not measure long-term suspension rates, did not benchmark setup time, and did not audit deliverability or warmup methodology. InboxKit, the publisher of this review, sells deliverability tooling and mailbox infrastructure that overlap with parts of the Instantly Mailboxes use case. We have made an effort to keep the analysis neutral and to clearly mark sections where InboxKit is referenced as a comparison.

Instantly is primarily a cold email sequencer and lead-data platform at instantly.ai. Inside the Instantly platform, the company offers two mailbox-related products that are sometimes confused:

1. 1DFY accounts. A "done-for-you" service in which Instantly purchases the domain on the buyer's behalf, configures DNS, and provisions Google Workspace mailboxes for use in Instantly campaigns. Documented in the Instantly help center.

According to the Instantly help center, DFY (and by extension pre-warmed accounts) are "exclusively configured for use within the Instantly platform." Mailboxes provisioned this way are not positioned as portable to other sequencers in the public materials we reviewed.

A second editorial point worth surfacing before the pricing details: per Instantly's own help center article on DFY, "We currently retain domain ownership and administrator access for any purchases and are unable to transfer them over." This is unusual in the cold email infrastructure category, where most providers register domains in the buyer's name or are willing to transfer ownership on request. Buyers planning long-term outbound on these domains should weigh this term carefully.

The Instantly Outreach sequencer itself is billed separately. Publicly reported pricing tiers are approximately $37 per month (Growth), $97 per month (Hypergrowth), and higher tiers above. Sequencer plans advertise unlimited accounts and warmup at no per-account fee, meaning mailbox costs do not stack on top of a per-mailbox sequencer fee.

A formal refund policy specific to DFY or pre-warmed mailboxes was not located on the public help center at the time of writing. Buyers should confirm pre-purchase. Public discussion in 2025 referenced changes to Instantly's credit-billing model that affected DFY auto-renewal mechanics; buyers should verify the current renewal terms with Instantly directly.

Deliverability outcomes on Instantly DFY and pre-warmed mailboxes depend on multiple factors that public information cannot resolve. We did not run independent placement tests.

Because Instantly retains domain ownership on DFY purchases, a buyer who chooses to leave the Instantly platform does not retain control of the domains used in past campaigns. This creates a long-term continuity question that is not present with most other mailbox providers.
4. 4Anecdotal public sentiment. Aggregated third-party discussions describe a mixed Trustpilot picture, with positive feedback on platform breadth and negative feedback concentrated on 2025 billing changes, mid-campaign sequence interruptions, and the warmup-score-vs-placement question. We treat these as anecdotal data points, not evidence of broad performance.

The Instantly sequencer itself is widely reviewed; the DFY and pre-warmed mailbox layer has less standalone review history. Buyers evaluating Instantly Mailboxes should evaluate both the sequencer and the mailbox layer as separate decisions.
